Tehran, May 10 /Xin Hua/ — The commander of the Central Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Iran, “Khatam al-Anbiya” Ali Abdollahi met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei, reporting to him about the combat readiness of the troops. This was reported on Sunday by the Iranian official news agency IRNA.
According to the agency’s report, in a meeting whose date is not specified, A. Abdollahi stated that Iranian military forces are fully prepared to respond to “hostile actions” by the USA and Israel.
As the commander emphasized, if the United States and Israel commit any act of aggression against Iran, then the Iranian armed forces will give a “swift, fierce, and powerful” response.
M. Khamenei, for his part, highly praised the “spread and power” of the Iranian army and outlined new measures to continue the fight against enemies. –0–
