Washington, May 10 /Xin Hua/ — Iran’s current response to the American plan to end the war is “completely unacceptable.” This was stated on Sunday on the social network Truth Social by U.S. President Donald Trump.
“I just read the answer of the so-called ‘representatives’ of Iran. I don’t like it — it’s completely unacceptable!” — he wrote, not going into details.
Iran’s response to the latest US plan for settlement was sent on Sunday to Pakistan, acting as an intermediary, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported. As noted, at this stage Washington proposed to focus the negotiations on ending the war in the region.
U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio stated that Iran must clearly demonstrate that it is not seeking to acquire nuclear weapons. Washington considers this decisive for a peaceful agreement.
