Parliamentâs co-rapporteurs for the multiannual financial framework (MFF) will brief journalists on their reaction to the Councilâs recently-released draft negotiating position.
The press conference with Parliamentâs co-rapporteurs Siegfried MureÅan (EPP, Romania) and Carla Tavares (S&D, Portugal) comes after the Cyprus presidency presented the Councilâs negotiating box for the Commissionâs proposal for the 2028-2034 EU long-term budget on 11 June and EU ministers are discussing it on Tuesday, 16 June at the General Affairs Council.
When: Tuesday 16 June 2026, 15.30 CET
Where: European Parliament in Strasbourg, Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room (WEISS N -1/201) and via webstreaming.
Journalists can also attend and ask questions via Interactio.
Interpretation will be provided in English, French, German, Romanian, and Portuguese.
Using Interactio to ask questions
Interactio is only supported on iPad (with the Safari browser) and Mac/Windows (with the Google Chrome browser).

Journalists who have never used Interactio before are asked to connect 30 minutes before the start of the press conference to perform a connection test. IT assistance can be provided if necessary.
