Chongqing, May 10 /Xin Hua/ — Two people died, six were injured as a result of a road traffic accident (RTA) that occurred in the city of Chongqing (Southwest China) on Sunday, the municipal public security bureau reported.
The incident occurred around 13:40 on Sunday. A 57-year-old female driver surnamed He lost control at an intersection in the Qianjiang area of Chongqing city, which led to a collision of the car with other vehicles and pedestrians. As a result of the accident, two people died and six others were injured.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the accident report and helped to deliver the injured to the hospital. The possibility of driving under the influence of alcohol is excluded. A further investigation of the traffic accident is underway.
