HaDEA has published the call for tenders HADEA/2026/OP/0021: Long-term API stockpiling and rapid finished dose form manufacture.
This call for tenders aims to support the development of and access to technologies that can prolong the shelf life of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) stored in bulk and produce finished dose forms rapidly. The goal is to enhance crisis preparedness by exploring potential gains in sustainability, resiliency and flexibility to respond to future health emergencies.
The call will request the development of a pilot feasibility project to test this concept, assess its viability and provide recommendations on how to operationalise the approach.
Total budget: € 6 000 000.
Interested parties are to apply via the EU Funding and Tenders Portal by 29 September 2026, 15.00 (CEST).
EU4Health is the fourth and largest of the EU health programmes. The EU4Health programme goes beyond an ambitious response to the COVID-19 crisis to address the resilience of European healthcare systems. The programme provides funding to national authorities, health organisations and other bodies through grants and public procurement, contributing to a healthier Europe.
HaDEA manages the vast majority of the total EU4Health budget and implements the programme by managing calls for proposals and tenders from 2021 to 2027.
