New publication: Intra-Africa academic mobility scheme 2022-2027 – Selection results 2023-2025
The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has published an updated brochure in English, French and Portuguese for the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, highlighting the programme’s key role in promoting learning, skills development, and exchanges across Africa.
Intra-Africa responds to the demand for high-level skills across Africa in the five priority sectors of the Global Gateway strategy: climate and energy, transport, digital, health, and education and research. It also aligns with Global Gateway flagships at both country and regional levels. The programme supports consortia of African higher education institutions and funds scholarships for African trainees, master’s and doctoral students, as well as university staff.
The brochure presents 21 projects selected in 2025, including projects’ summaries and statistical data on institutional participation and planned mobility activities from the 2023 and 2025 selection rounds. It also features 15 projects funded in 2023 and provides a statistical overview of the previous Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme (2016-2020).
