On 7 May 2026, Parliament and Council negotiators reached a provisional agreement on the Digital Omnibus on AI – a set of amendments mainly to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act. The Digital Omnibus on AI postpones the application of certain parts of the AI Act, while maintaining its core provisions and risk-based approach. Parliament is due to vote on the adoption of the agreed text during the June 2026 plenary session.
