During the June 2026 plenary session, the European Parliament is due to vote on an own-initiative resolution on the European Commission’s 2025 report on Montenegro. The Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) report on Montenegro, adopted on 4 May, encourages all Montenegrin political actors to maintain the momentum towards successfully concluding the accession negotiations, and underlines the need for political stability and constructive cross-party cooperation in this regard.
