Tehran, May 10 /Xinhua/ — Iran’s response to the latest U.S. proposal to end the war on Sunday was sent through the Pakistani intermediary. This was reported by the Iranian official news agency IRNA.

As noted in the agency’s report, according to the proposed plan, at this stage the negotiations will be focused on ending the war in the region.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday: “The Iranian nation will never bow before the enemy, and if there is talk of dialogue or negotiations, this does not mean capitulation or retreat.” These words are cited in a statement published on the website of the Iranian president’s office.

Speaking at a meeting in Tehran, M. Pezeshkian emphasized that the negotiations are aimed at protecting the rights of the Iranian people and firmly defending the national interests of the country. –0–
